Miguel Malmqvist operates the ScrollGate mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data when you use our App.

1. Privacy Comes First

The core functionality of ScrollGate (app blocking, screen time monitoring, and focus sessions) runs entirely locally on your device using Apple's Screen Time / Device Activity framework. Your list of installed apps, your screen time usage history, and your browsing habits never leave your device and are never sent to us or any third party.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used (for example, which features are opened and how often) so we can improve it. This collects anonymous usage and interaction data along with a device identifier and basic device information (such as device model and operating system version). It does not include the specific apps you block or your screen time history.

3. Crash & Diagnostic Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes and errors. If the App crashes or malfunctions, we may collect diagnostic information such as the device model, operating system version, app configuration, the time of the event, and a crash report.

4. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. To show ads, Google may use device identifiers (including the Advertising Identifier / IDFA), cookies, and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, device ID, and usage and diagnostic data, in order to serve and measure ads.

If you allow tracking when prompted, you will receive personalized ads based on this data. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

5. Your Choices

- Tracking / personalized ads: control this via the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

- You may also reset your Advertising Identifier in iOS Settings at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
